Dynamic Oregon

There is no better place in the USA to grow grapes naturally, than in Oregon.

Here in Oregon, with our vast and complex growing regions, dry farming is the norm - not the exception. With the effects of global warming clearly upon us, Oregon can position itself as the premiere grape growing region for a diverse selection of wine grapes. We created Vinous Obscura to highlight the amazing potential of this diversity in Oregon. Concentrating on vineyards in the Northern Willamette Valley and the Columbia Gorge, we aim to explore a wider view of what Oregon is and can be.
